Winter and Spring Break Programs

Description:

Spend part of your summer at The Second City where you can work out your creative muscles in our improvisation boot camps for ages 10-18. The Second City has launched the careers of countless actors, writers, directors and producers, and has influenced American comedy like no other theater. Our summer programs attract students from all over the country and abroad. Learn new skills, meet new friends and enjoy Los Angeles in the summer. Students are grouped by age. Boot camps are held at The Second City Training Centers in Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and Toronto. Programs and schedules vary by location.

Improvisation training helps build skills such as listening, team building, communications, self-confidence, problem solving and empathy.

Sessions:

TEEN CAMP

AGES: 13-18
CAMP DATES: June 19TH-22nd 10:00am - 3:30pm, August 7th-10th 10:00am - 3:30pm
COST: $325 for each session, discounts available if both session are taken

Improvisation: Tuesday - Friday, 10 AM – 12:30 PM Explore the fundamentals of improvisation as taught and performed at The Second City. Develop skills like creative thinking, self-confidence, listening, brainstorming, team building, empathy and communication while having loads of fun and laughs.

Sketch Comedy: Tuesday – Friday, 1 PM – 3:30 PM Learn the basics of sketch comedy scenes, the building block of any Second City show. You'll study classic Second City scenes, use improvisation to develop scenes and write original sketches.

The cost is only $565.00 per session
